A strong passion behind NR is to create tools that support individuals and businesses in managing their assets and resources more wisely. This can be done through the use of technology and data to make more informed decisions and improve efficiency and effectiveness.

leveraging GIS technology in Ranching industry—both small and large scale.
While many industries have leveraged GIS to improve decision making and efficiency, the use of GIS in Ranching has yet to fully materialize. This is likely due to the cost of accessing GIS technologies and tools as well as a lack of ready-to-use platforms for interested ranchers. Having witnessed this during my graduate research (See Projects), through research and development, I am working towards building an easy-to-use application that allows ranchers to leverage GIS technology to better understand and manage their operations.
Components of Research and Development
Research ranching industry and identify data that would be useful to ranchers
Develop alpha version of application to preview product usability
Host focus groups with ranchers (use surveys as applicable) to determine what tools are needed most
Identify and secure interested ranchers to further develop alpha version
Develop beta version and test with partner ranchers
Secure investors
